Emily Stern is a writer, teacher, singer/performer, chef, organizer and activist. She writes, teaches and performs all over the country. She’s been teaching creative writing to various age groups for almost 11 years, and creating and facilitating workshops and classes for nearly two decades. Creativity, self-care, self-awareness, accountability, and integration are themes throughout everything she does. Most of her workshops, art and activism are centered on these themes. She’s also a freelance chef, cooking instructor and nutrition consultant. She is adjunct faculty at The Santa Fe Community College and IAIA. In Santa Fe, she has also worked with The Santa Fe Art Institute, Tierra Encantada Charter School, and The Academy for the Love of Learning as a creative writing teacher in conjunction with the El Otro Lado project directed by Chrissie Orr. Emily is the creator of The Cookbook Project, and is available to teach that curriculum.
